Glucosamine is a key precursor for cartilage matrix

forte®, derived from crustaceae
skin/shell extraction (shrimps, crabs, lobsters,
etc) which through deproteinization and decalciumization
becomes chitin (?-(1- ->4)-2-acetamido-2-deoxy-?-D-glucose),
which is then hydrolyzed to glucosamine (2-amino-2-deoxy-D-glucose).
Chondroitin Sulfate: Chondroitin
sulfate is derived from shark’s cartilage
extraction. The mode of action is mainly by
inhibiting THE enzymes that could damage the
cartilage matrix.
After oral administration, glucosamine HCl and
chondroitin sulfate are well dissolved in the
gaster (stomach) to an active glucosamine and
chondroitin, which is then rapidly absorbed
by the body (through gastrointestinal tract,
followed by distribution by the blood to required
body parts (the joints).
